Fraq!

Firstly, here is the after and before pics of me and me goatee.  Thank you all for your input during my very scientific poll.  Only three (two and a 1/4) people voted to keep it.

On the cancer front, no news.  My case missed the tumor board ... AGAIN!!  A very frustrating piece of shit situation to be in ... languishing in a sorta limbo make me wanna scream and/or hit something.  It's been two fuqin' months already!!!

Oh well, I have been able to workout a li'l bit.  That feels good.  Gotta lota stuff done around the house, almost ready for dinner parties and other silliness.

Till next time,

A BIT OF A REVELATION!

Hey y'all,

Well, it's been a very entertaining few weeks to say the least. There's nothing to update on the medical side of things. But I have come to a new conclusion for myself psychologically. I've been cruising along believing that I'm going to completely beat this thing. That was all well and good initially, but eventually it had me just laying around waiting for the miracle. The more I waited with nothing happening, the deeper the "funk" I was slipping into.

Currently, until I get the word from the tumor board that shoulda met this past monday, my current prognosis is 2-3yrs ... give or take a whole lotta shit. I personnally think that number crazy low, but that's just me. But I have come to grips with the fact that this bitch will eventually beat me (they seem to always do) and surprisingly this perspective change is working much better for me. For whatever reason its gotten me off the couch and doing shit so I'm going with it.

That's it for now. Gonna get some golf in before I try to go back to work.

BTW, I figured out the comment thingy on this bitch so please do make use of it and say hey. Let me know if I need to change anything.

Thanks again,

~Lu.

Chemo and lab results

Chemo sucked today. I forgot to properly prepare myself. My CEA level
went from 4.5 to 5, but the MD was not worried about the increase.

When we got home I crashed for 3 hours, with a lowgrade fever and a
clammy forehead. When I woke up it felt like a fever had broke.
Nothing chicken wings can't fix.

This weeks tumor board was for prostate cancer so we have to wait
another week to plan our next attack.

Thank you all,

~Lu.

Up and about!!

Hey all,

Needless to say,  made it thru the ER scare.  As far as we can tell, I had a severe colitis attack.  It was bad enough that I couldn't call 911 on my own.  I had to dial Joelle and basically cry which was her cue to rush home and save me.  Next came the firetruck and the ambulance 'cause I was in way too much pain to move and puking pretty bad.  After being hooked up to my beloved morphine drip and choking down a bucket of that contrast qrap, I went in for a CT scan.  The preliminary diagnosis by the tech showed nothing.  I'm still waiting to get the official diag. from a radiologist.

Sooo, this is a "good" week for me.  But because of the episode, I'm taking it easy and not going into work.  I'm also playing the single parent while Joelle is away for work and doing that and working would be a bit too stressful.  Anna V. is down being super auntie helping me out.  A necessary and blessed safety net in case another I had another attack.

That's all to update for now.  Got chemo next monday and hopefully I'll have news from my tumor board meeting as to what we will be doing next to kick more cancer arrsse!!

Till then, thanks for reading and caring and please to comment below.
